LC FOUNDATION

We firmly believe in the saying “you reap what you sow” and that is why every year we donate our localization services to a nonprofit organization. We have helped Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and the Red Cross of the People’s Republic of China, among others.

MADD faced a specific concern that revealed the majority of DUI offenders were Hispanic. In its public service effort, Local Concept received court permission to speak directly to DUI offenders and submit to them a questionnaire in order to create a base understanding about this statistic. The questionnaire answers revealed that much of the information about the implications of drinking and driving was unknown to the offenders. And, based on the information received, Local Concept was able to create copy uniquely targeting the Hispanic population, focusing on cultural differences. Local Concept earned first place at the PRSA and Health Care Communicator Awards.

We have also worked with the International Bipolar Foundation translating various informational materials for the foundation.

Local Concept has written and produced 30-second radio segments. These ads support communication between parents and children about relevant issues ranging from drugs, alcohol and tobacco use to gangs involvement. To listen to the ads, click on the links below.

Does your nonprofit organization need assistance with translation or localization, but your budget says no? If so, we’d love to help. Please write a brief summary outlining your needs and email it to: lchelps@localconcept.com. You will be contacted once we receive your request.
